Chip Platt, D.O. is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in Cataract, Oculoplastics (Eyelid Surgery) and Adult Comprehensive Eye Care.
Dr. Platt has performed thousands of cataract, laser and oculoplastic procedures during his career.
He performs blepharoplasty, blepharoptosis, brow procedures, and removes benign growths and skin cancers around the eye. He also has experience correcting eyelid malpositions (entropion, ectropion, trichiasis).
Dr. Platt began practicing ophthalmology in 2000. He completed residency training at the UAMS Jones Eye Clinic in Little Rock where he was the recipient of the Raymond & Mary Morris Resident Award. He graduated with distinction from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences in 1996. He has participated in numerous FDA clinical trials. Dr. Platt is a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Phi honor societies. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Platt has enjoyed providing cataract surgery to underserved people in Mexico. He has served as a volunteer physician at the Camp War Eagle youth summer programs for five years. His activities include tennis, water sports, and guitar. He is married with four children and loves spending time with them.
